Oh... they didn't learn from the last quarter when that other broker thought the same thing.

If they don't KNOW, then why open their mouths especially hours before the company reports? They're just speculating and clearly if they thought that, the time to speak up was when the stock was at 42.

These brokers are losing just about all credibility, as far as I'm concerned. I wish there was some kind of service that actually tracked what they said about each company and how close they came to getting it right and where the stocks were trading when they made their calls.

If IT spending doesn't pick up in the next quarter, likely some other broker is going to make this same call and probably be just as wrong.

Look at sebl. EVERY day gets another downgrade and earnings revision downward. Do these analysts sit around all day thinking the other guys got it right so they jump in too lest they be too late? Geesh! Sebl might even be just as fine as Merq.... although I think Merq's biz model and deal size really is making it easier on them than Sebl.
