Why did the IDF fail to allow ANY international journalists into the occupied territories while they were 'conducting operations' and 'going after the terrorist infrastructure'...??

The United States allowed journalists to cover what was happening when our troops went into Afghanistan.

Yep, this coverage is incredible. They unquestioningly and enthusiastically use any piece of garbage that comes their way.

One fellow got a stick in his mouth when he asked for water, and then water that tasted like urine... Another one "...told us he was forced to strip naked and act as a human shield..."

Why naked? Works better? Or sounds better, for willing "journalist" believers?

Some things in Europe never change. A shame.

In other words, this story is a deliberate ploy to make up facts on the ground and match them to a particular political agenda. Neither fair nor balanced, but definately very, very European! I will never visit Eurpoe again.

Hey, William, you best relax a bit before you blow an artery. This is just one European newspaper, not all; one European country, not all.

There's going to be a lot more of this stuff in the next several weeks and it will read even worse and appear to you to be even more unbalanced. My guess this one is mild by the standards of what is to come. And some of it will be, unfortunately, true; some of it will be in some gray zone in which we'll never know but suspect there are grains of truth; and some of it will be flat out made up. And none of us will probably ever know which was which.

Wars are made for television events these days and the leadership on both sides knows that is a vital front.
