First, international journalists do a terrible job at reporting these kinds of stories. It is easy to see a tank, difficult to see a terrorist.

Second, US hardly let journalists see what they were doing.
Third, US did what they did mostly in the air, not on the ground.

Forth, US could trust their press not to devulge things which were operational, Israel cannot count on similar restraint.

Fifth, this is not a pretty war. I believe the IDF when they say that this war puts them on the edge of the line because of the nature of the conflict. It is a sad necessity that the only way they could make progress in Jenin is to go through walls, as roads were all to often booby trapped.

Lastly, looking at the depth of investigative reporting going on after the fact, it is evident that the "International Journalists" are not capable of, or they are unwilling to investigate the 'whole story'.

I guess if I could find good journalists I would give them access. In the US, so far, the only journalist whose seems capable of telling a story in perspective is Ashley Banfield.

The United States allowed journalists to cover what was happening when our troops went into Afghanistan.

Hmmm, Scott, I hate to say this but didn't I just see Walter Cronkite the other day complaining about just this problem; the lack of access to the battlefield in Afghanistan?
