<<didn't I just see Walter Cronkite the other day complaining about just this problem; the lack of access to the battlefield in Afghanistan?>>

There may not have been complete access in Afghanistan BUT at least there was some access. Yet, many independent sources have verified that international journalists and humanitarian workers have been harassed and shot at over in the occupied territories....The IDF failed to allow any journalists to have any access to places like Jenin for over a week --> IMO, something's wrong with that...In the last 24 hours I have listened to reports starting to come out on public radio, the BBC, MSNBC, and CNN and there are some troubling things that you learn...this is just the beginning. It's sad that we don't have an INDEPENDENT UN-sponsored international peace keeping force providing security to both the Israelis and the Palestinians....JMHO.
