While I haven't read as much as I should on this subject I believe Israel is being far more selective in its application of military force. Otherwise, the engagements may have proceeded faster (allow no retreat) and with likely less loss of life on the Israeli side (firepower from a distance) and far greater losses among Palestinians. -PT

You respond to an army attacking in like kind....you drop bombs and prepare a massive response back. And I think that's how Israel and the US should respond to terrorists.........in like kind.....underground and behind the scenes. Uhhh... isn't that the idea behind the Israeli targeted assassinations? Also, Israel is NOT bombing. The Israelis did not have to tear down most of Bethlehem to rid it of terrorists. Besides, what the hell is the Masud doing right now? I assume you mean "Mossad". They're telling the army where to look for terrorists, and then the army goes in and takes care of it. The thing is, that you really do have thousands of terrorists... it's difficult to be low-key about taking out that many people. -Z
