That P.S. is over the top, Am Spirit. No, I do not believe G.Bush Sr had anything to do with choppers malfunctioning. What actually happened was that the Carter Hostage rescue attempt was the first time our choppers attempted to function in a completely desert setting. The sand clogged the mechanisms. Afterall, Vietnam was a jungle. Why would a former WWII hero plan to scuttle a U.S. military operation? That type of conspiracy theory borders on paranoia.....but I know the country is flooded with such nonsense right now.
