Haven't done that myself in quite awhile.

Me neither, which is why it's so hard to get started. I haven't even read potboilers lately. I just got new lenses for my glasses. The prescription needed to be tweeked a bit once I recognized that I could no longer read the numbers on the VCR from across the room. The Hour Eyes had to order the lenses to fit my old glasses and told me it would take a week to get them. A month later I finally realized that I had not yet heard from them so I gave them a call. When I finally got my glasses, I realized that I had had almost no use for them. I have some drug store glasses that I use for the computer and I walk around the house with them on. They're stronger than my reading prescription but weaker than my distance prescription (I wear bifocals) but they work well enough for reading the instructions on a frozen dinner. The experience made me realize how long it had been since I read anything extensive on paper where I would need my regular glasses. It bothers me that I'm no longer a reader, but apparently not enough to actually pick up a book and read it.
