Dave- I voted for suspension but I also think that niceguy should spend a week off. Niceguy has been rather out of control himself. It happens, niceguy would benefit from ignoring this board for a while.

Although Elmer never used f*** or a**h***, he repeatedly called niceguy a liar and stupid. This is uncivil behavior and worthy of suspension.

Dhellman, Re: I PM'd my vote against suspension, but I'm going public now.

I have to admit that Elmer's technical posts are often useful and his pro-Intel bias helps the threads to keep balance. However, I don't think there should be exceptions for the rules just because someone (generally) contributes good posts to the thread. It's totally unacceptable IMO to accuse someone else of a crime (that's what is it) just because you think he lies about yourself. That's slander and a direct violation of the thread's rules (and of SI terms of use too). And it doesn't get better when your "apology" contains the word "stupid" (and later "idiot"). Elmer always talks how useful the ignore function is -- why doesn't he use it then in Niceguy's case?
