Using the attitude of the left towards the CIA & FBI as a barometer since the Carter Adm, I would say that wanting CIA hit teams to take out terrorists is definitely a characteristic of the political right. That's one of the reasons I classify myself as slightly to the right. During the Clinton Adm. the CIA was told the agents in the field had to have permission from their superior in D.C. before they could do business with anyone who didn't have a lily white background. Once the front line people have little autonomy......nothing gets done. Something private business as well as bureaucracies never seem to learn.
