It's not even open for development yet. How can they be shying away from it already? If true, it could be that they are afraid that if the Dems get control, it will be closed again after a couple of years and they'll lose their money.

And, oh yeah, torpedo conservation because that means less revenue for the oil companies.

If you mean by "conservation" more efficiency, I'd say yes. Greater efficiency means more profits for everyone and more money in my pocket.

If on the other hand you want conservation, a la Jimmy Carter, no way. That is strangulation of the economy. It didn't help Carter back then and it won't help us now.

Lies to coverup more lies. All a BIG LIE. His whole energy plan. 9 billion in tax gifts to big oil just to go to Alaska. They keep trying to rip us off any way they can. Now they're going to try and use Saddam to scare us into letting them do it. Talk about evil-doers.
