The Europeans haven't sided with the terrorists in the ME conflict, they just recognize that both sides have terrorists as heads of state.

A true radical taught us to love our enemies. You could spend a life time contemplating the implications and how to implement that one. I would like to see some of these contries that I am learning to hate have to make it on their own.

Well, that's less hostile, and we even agree on some things And the European issue is something I didn't think of, which may go a long way towards explaining that influence. They also have much more leeway to change that influence, since the actual oil costs are only 25% of the cost of fuel, and the rest is taxes.
