My reading of the history of insurrections is that desperate conditions rarely produce them. Rising expectations which are then thwarted, are the prime conditions. Late 18th cen. France is one such case.

No time now to answer your 'moral' case, which you didn't even make yet anyway. I am sure you will think about it carefully, and not nuance away the distinction between the arsonist and firefighter.
