Pendulum will swing back to Europe:

1) Europe gets more of former satellites of former USSR: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia. 2005

2) Building of infrastructure there keeps Euro-industry humming along. 2003 - 2010

3)Russia will join Europe thus, granting a reliable source of oil. This because Europeans are tired of the military presence of US in Arab countries as guard dog for oil companies, plus fueling a conflict in Israel-Palestina that could end next week should the US meant business. 2010

Once this happens, the US will realize its time has passed.

Don't you guys remembér the Urengoy gas line the Europeans built to bring natural gas to Europe?

They wanted to send money to the, then, USSR, and get a reliable source of gas. The US was strongly against that, since it wanted to keep those footages of nuclear blasts in the minds of J6P who thought that the Russians -who couldn't make a decent gearbox- were coming.
