But - under this specific tax loophole mentioned - they could reduce declared profits by charging massive 'expenses' to an IP holding Co. in a foreign jurisdiction which, for example, held the rights to their logo and trademark... while moving their headquarters (on paper) to the islands.

This would quite effectively reduce their US taxes.
