I disagree, of course. Without the Bible, Koran, Torah -- things would be much worse. It is not the existence of these that is responsible for the carnage. Some may have to do with men some how mis-appropriating (lying) the authority of these as justification for what they wanted to do any way given their hatred. Certainly, it is implicit in your statement that there is a better way to live ... perhaps odb's way would bring peace and harmony. Don't rule out as irrational all those that seek enlightenment -- divine revelation. There remain many reasons to seek revelation. TV is a cesspool which appeals to the basest of the basest animal instincts in men. News is all about spreading fear. Sitcoms are all about laughing about those who are in predicaments we hope to never find ourselves in ... reality TV is about everything except Reality. TV is the opiate of the masses ...
