I think its strictly politics. Bush courting labor votes. I think it is as big a mistake as letting the CFR bill go unvetoed...

LOL. George Will likes Bush. But he's really been on Bush's case about the trade stuff. With good reason, IMO.

Steve, I agree with you on this issue. Free trade doesn't just help the poor countries who might export to us, it helps us as well. However politically its hard to sell it and right now Bush isn't even trying.
