I was griping on this thread recently that, other than the handling of 9/11, I disagreed with Bush on everything he has done. Now we have this "plasticity of conviction" on the few things on which I thought I could count on him. It would be nice if that "plasticity of conviction" made an appearance on the cloning thing. And pigs flew...

I would like to know as well. One thing I am pretty sure of is that the governments don't spend a billion a day on this, but if you add in the cost to consumers its possible. You also could add in some of the cost of aid to poor countries because the might need the aid more if they can't sell their products, but then this cost would be lower then the other two parts of the cost, and counting it would probably be more controversial.
