Trog is a complement. It means your ancestors survived the greatest climate calamity to date: the Ice Age. Wear it proudly. As for the rest, I don't actually think we disagree that much, nor do I believe singing "We are the World" in a circle will help much. Most Jews consider themselves a "people". A distinct group of separate genealogy. I guess that is what I meant by "race" - I rarely use the term in 3D. OBTW, there is a big hoopla going on because some journal pulled an article that said Jews and Palestinians were the same genetically and it had to be pulled because it contained some language that certain people found offensive and too pro-Palestinian. Genetically, there was a decimation of the human race about 50,000 years ago. They think humanity may have gone almost extinct, numbering in the few thousands. We are all one people in my mind.
