Thanks for your lengthy cliche-ridden post. I especially enjoyed the "just be lucky you have a job" and "what we need is more law and order" observations. (By the way, if you want to see how "more law and order" can rip a community apart, come visit me in Cincinnati.)

Re: taxation: If Big Business paid its fair share, we could lower taxes for the wealthy, the middle class and the working poor. Re: "So the specific question is HOW MUCH LESS SHOULD THE LOWER 50% pay than the current 4%." Answer: I don't believe the lower 50% should pay any more than what they're now paying. Actually, if you add in cigarette taxes and lottery tickets (the lotteries actually are forms of taxation), you would find that economically disadvantaged people actually pay quite a bit more than the figure you quoted.
