wait for that open. Then we will see, i have seen pre-open BS too often. That market looks ahead 6-months, for LBTH is good way to get your head served on a platter these past two years ,imo.

That is so true. But can a case be made for a short term rally on the Nasdaq simply because we have gotten so much bad news about the state of IT spending?

IBM made a comment that 2nd half of year should be good. SEBL CEO can't image they won't be spending in the 2nd half on IT. That kind of sets the stage for buying for a recovery especially as the Nasdaq had a decline for 3months and there have been lots of outflows from tech mutual funds.
The possibility of rotation into tech from old economy cyclicals is there.

I am looking for about 40 to 50 points on Naz....what do you see as the most we can get out of this

btw--I am looking for SAP earnings. If they are more positive than SEBL, that might help.
Again, short term only.

That's true, it's been a rough 2 years, especially for anyone trying to anticpate a recovery. I know I've had my hopes dashed a few times over the past 2 years. But, it does seem as though in early 2003 we will finally a recovery in the tech sector. There is probably a lot of pent up IT demand out there and eventually the dam will burst and we'll see some real IT spending.

EMC is currently bidding around 11. Looks like it will open up. No idea where it will go from there though.
