Daschle wouldn't have a snowball's chance..... Yesterday, speaking on ANWR, he said we didn't need it and South Dakota was working on its ethanol production. I'm not kidding. Alaskan Senators Ted Stevens and Frank Murkowski spoke extensively on ANWR yesterday and the frustration of Alaskans that environmentalists want their entire state to be a national park. An interesting stat discussed was that 40-75% of the funds received by major environmental groups are used for the solicitation of more funds. In other words, environmentalism is a scam. The ANWR vote failed today, so it is dead at least until we can get a new senate. * * *
