I say we might pop next week on some good earnings reports and then we're going to tank to the low 1700s or high 1600s until the next Q earnings start coming. I see a rally this summer or fall in anticipation a recovery in 2003.

Tomorrow they will say market held up well etc with IBM (actual results), NOK, MSFT, plane crash scare.

They will say that this market is done 'backing and filling' (all euphemisms for something else) etc. Once again they will cite the corrupted NYSE A/d Line and some TRIN nonsense.

So they will get in some suckers next week close near window dressing and JDSU (more bottom calling) ?.

Then we will see what happens with the ISM nos in the first week of May as they get closer to the second half and possible rate hikes.

At the risk of sounding redundant, it will be interesting to say the least.
