If anything the US government should be doing now is to fill up the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to the full capacity (remember, the previous administration used up a portion for purely political reasons), and to possibly increase the storage, and buy even more. I don't disagree -- but it isn't about the price of oil -- it is about the accessibility of it. The first concern is about national security, and continued exclusion of ANWR is a national security threat. As to the previous administration's use of the the reseve, NOT ONLY was it politically motivated, they sold the damned oil to foreign countries!
