"However, with the leaping to accentuate the terrible friendly fire accident"

I didn't like that either. His response was that it is just a simple fact, or something to that effect.

Didn't like it. Didn't like it at all.

I believe you have a hidden agenda.

I do? Well, when you find out what it is, please let me know. Personally, I think most of the problems I have with some posters here is that I have a wider view of the world than those who have lived in the US all their lives. If all they've seen is US news and all the education they've had is US, then obviously they have a narrower view of the world than someone like me who was not born here and has travelled extensively. Unthinking patriotism and unthinking support of those in power is not necessarily healthy. However, I do believe the US system of elected representatives(it's not real democracy) is a good system and there is more opportunity here for the average person than anywhere else in the world, that's why I stayed here.
Some here consider themselves so superior just because they were born here. That's very arrogant(not to mention ignorant) and is one of the reasons that US citizens are not liked by a lot of people. Now that I am one, I will try to be a good US ambassador wherever I go :-)
