You were blasting SI when you left and were getting ready to roll into ihub. Then you were blasting ihub when you rolled out of it. Then you blasted other boards again when you rolled back into ihub.

Not really. A lesson I took to heart long time ago is that in sales, you don't get the sale by bad-mouthing your competitor. You might remember it was primarily Mirarchi who was the target of any venom from this keyboard; not iHub or Matt.

I think I make it pretty clear that I aspire to SI's high level of quality discussions (this thread's recent discussions aside -- I'm quite surprised by some of the language I've seen here) and that it's a good example for other boards to try to achieve. It has no peer in that regard. We have small pockets of that kind of quality, and it's becoming more commonplace, but in the aggregate, we're not even close yet.

Our software just happens to kick their software's butt. <g>

He makes money shorting, not running boards.

Not entirely true, but it's probably a matter of semantics. The money is made not only by shorting the correct candidates, but by getting the message out that everyone should be shorting whatever PoS has been targeted.

No different from buying a stock then telling everyone else they should be buying it too because it's such a wonderful company.

Same coin; two sides.

In the aggregate, I think Anthony does far more good than harm. For one thing, he's adamant about asset allocation, which you so rarely see preached. That's a darned good thing.

I'm just really puzzled by his "bashing" me the way he has. We've known each other a long time, and I thought he knew roughly where my lines are and how clearly drawn they are. Because I'm now the pres of a site that even I will admit used to deserve the negative reputation that still somewhat stains it doesn't mean I've become a scumbag. The site has changed. It'll take a long time to rid itself of its prior reputation, but I knew that going in. And don't doubt that it will.
