Intel got caught greedy more than napping.
As far as Hammer...tell your bosses not even to worry about it. If you think AMD will get all that funky SOI and X86-64 stuff to work...well don't worry...not going to be easy.

Hammer will likely intro at 2000 MHz (PR3400)(only a 13 stage pipeline they say)..late...way late...
Meanwhile, P4s will be rambling right along...
