ANWR oil was not supposed to make a dent in our oil imports for years, and yet you want renewables to do it in 2 months? If your aim is to make a dent in our oil imports immediately then that could be dome overnight by having the President call for Americans to simply drive 10% less. Clearly you haven't been following renewables very much. The latest windmills are capable of powering 4,000 houses EACH. Geothermal is not limited, but is everywhere. The Earth gets hotter the deeper that you go. Solar is about to produce energy at about .10 a kilowatt hour, and that is without the subsidies that coal and nuclear enjoy. It is time for a real Apollo-type crash program to get off of the oil dependency for good. Once the Cheney/Bush administration gets out of the way, we will make real progress. Del
