So let's see how well they do when the Israelis shoot back

The Israelis have been shooting first actually for many years now killing innocent civilians who've been throwing rocks at them. So as you can see, your message is the other way around. The Palestinians had enough of being slaughtered at the hands of the IDF without the world doing anything about it. And now that they found a way to fight back, Israel can't stop them. No matter what Israel does (short of complete extinction), IMO, the palestinians will keep on coming. All the IDF accomplished the past 2 weeks is to recruit about another 1000 more new suicide bombers for the palestinian cause.

It used to be, palestinian throws rocks, IDF shoots back bullets kills innocent civilian rock throwing palestinian and a few more as collateral damage. Now it's palestinian blows self up and kills innocent women and children, and so IDF goes and kills 100x more innocent civilians. I think the Nazis used that method as well. The vicious cycle will never end with butcher fascist leaders like Sharon at the top. The west has given no other choice for the palestinians. Bush may want the palestinians to stop, but to stop for what? The US has never been a partner that can be trusted that will play fair as far as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is concerned. If the US is really looking for a true end to terrorism then they will impose true end to the hostilities by Israel and force them to accept peace. Right now it looks like Israel is like a big bully with his father just looking over him saying "good boy-hit him some more". That's not the kind of lesson I want my children to be taught. US foreign policy is a big fat JOKE! War on terrorism my foot.

JMHO.

Victor Hanson agrees with you about the mood in the heartland:

The folk from the heartland who show up for a Victor Hanson talk hardly strike me as representative of it.
