Augie, my main point is that you said "it may be a good time to short the stock if you are so inclined" and I am simply pointing out that earnings are Wednesday after the bell. I thought TA was at least somewhat impacted by "news and events"? It appears to me that many that follow this thread basically day trade as opposed to holding positions for extended periods.

In your second scenario, "if" the price of the stock did go up a few days in a row, might that not change TA patterns, I don't know?
