Huh? Buying up rental units or a franchise or starting a small home based business doesn't position you for retirement? This is investing in its purest form. How many people sell off a family run biz and retire on that? Boomers are about to find out that they need to work and that there's no one that will hire them because businesses would rather hire someone who isn't fifty plus. They will be forced to start businesses of their own. How many people do you know who took that early retirement package and now are going out of their minds? You can only play so many rounds of golf.
