We have already addressed some of this at loggerheads......

you said"""""""The first priority under our current obligations and analysis of threats is to improve our military and invest in R&D in order to maintain a commanding lead over other nations, who might be able to exceed us in raw manpower or equalize matters with weapons of mass destruction. (This does not require an increase in defense spending, rather done wisely a reduction in defense spending is quite in order and a significant one while increasing our capability to deal with current and future threats) Our second priority is to put the economy on a sounder footing, which means to eliminate all possible inefficiencies and drags, including superfluous regulation, unfunded mandates, excessive compliance costs, differential tax rates, the corporate income tax, and capping liability in civil court. (The previous Administration had the economy part right, and eliminating corporate income tax and putting the wealthy on welfare has put us back into reckless "spend and borrow Republican fiscal management. Eliminating differential rates should be accompanied by eliminating deductions) Next, we want to use the thrust of such an exercise to reduce the size of the Federal government, and to confine it to statistical research and grant- giving in many areas, such as education, labor, and commerce, leaving more substantive functions to the states. (Agree here, unfortunately the current Admin is bloating Govt vs reducing as had the previous admin) If the economy improves ( not for some time, the war frenzy will ensure the economy suffers) and the Federal government requires less "feeding" (don't understand this), then is the time to put in the pilot projects(I have two, one which will cut 50 billion from defense spending and increase our lethality), perhaps encouraged by Federal dollars, some of the reforms in welfare and education I was talking about (this warrants investigation). That is a general description of how these things inter- relate in my mind.
In the personal instance, well, we seem to differ in our view of what occurred......""""""""(again you still arrogantly insist on "tossing" my words and view, with your arrogant decision of my minds eye)
