They are two different weapons with different mission capabilities.

I know the difference, Hawk, but I would rather have one in an assault situation than the M16. However, at my age, the only thing I assault any more is the Dance Floor. (And I have been "Burning the Floor" lately :)

However, I think my point that the M16, like most of what the grunt has, is outdated by new weapons. I think the OICW, at 10,000 to 12,000 a pop, is an abortion. (I can hear that non-com now, telling the troops how much his "rifle" costs, and how we can only afford one per squad, so pick it up when your buddy gets hit. :)) Lets let Unclewest tune in and tell us we are both wrong. This is a subject that has as many right answers as it does shooters to argue it.
