Albert,

Every article I read about him has an anti-semitic statement that he has made in the past, but when it goes into detail about him and his party, anti-semitism doesn't really seem to his agenda, and he has actually became pro-Israel. (I am going on my memory from things I have read over long period of time, so I may be off in some details)

In general, the "mainstream" parties do all they can to destroy him through the "mainstream" media, and his anti-semitic statements from the past are just a tool to do the job. There is an anti-immigrant movement gathering strength across Europe, since the immigration brought (or is blamed for) a lot of pathologies that were associated mainly with US ghettos.

The "mainstream" is fighting this anti-immigrant trend desperately, and resort to desperate measures, like calling them all fascist. It's funny in case of Le Pen, since so many of his supporters used to support French Communist Party, before its meltdown.
