Actually, the GOP might still retain control of the House for another two years in November because of the redrawing of legislative districts, especially in states such as Florida and Georgia.

My guess is that the Zogby numbers reflect dissatisfaction with the GOP-controlled House on such issues as the $1.3 trillion tax break for Big Business, failure to act on expanded prescription drug benefits for senior citizens, and possibly even Enron.

With the House GOP led by the likes of Tom DeLay and Dan Burton, no wonder the Bush administration doesn't want to have much to do with 'em.
