why dont you do a thorough study of QQQ first ?

i dont know how rigid your "scientifically test" needs to be but are things always black and white in real world ?

in any case, if you went by max pain on qqq in last 4 or 5 months and act accordingly, you made money.

Steve 2 weeks is a little silly IMO. I have much tighter restrictions on what I call a Max Pain victory. Max pain hits tuesday thru Friday of expiry week.

Wed is often a reversal day.

I believe QQQ INTC MSFT CSCO have all hit max pain for about 5 months in a row with this definition.

Maybe a miss on 2-3 components total in that time out of 20 (5 * 4).

The actual definition is close on friday.
In practice we have turned on precicely WED in 2 months of these 5 I believe.

With no time premium left on anything, it is easy to reverse on Wed if they want.
