Tim, that's right; spills will happen no matter where we extract the oil. And typically, they do serious damage to the environment when they occur? So why aren't you more pro conservation?

So you concede that the issue of oil spills from tankers isn't really related to drilling in ANWR or Prudhow Bay?


Tim, I concede that spills are everywhere and that drilling in the ANWR and Prudhoe Bay increases the probability of them happening in the region.

I am for conservation. I'm just not for forced conservation.

How about raising taxes on gas?
