Jerome-- Mike is entirely correct when he speaks about Jewish persecution. Read, "Constantine's Sword" about the history of antisemitism and the Catholic Church.--written by James Carroll, an ex-priest. As Harry Golden put it when discussing segregation in the South, the Negroes are the buffer zone between the whites and the all-time favorites.

Please read Carroll's book. This obviously does not negate many crimes against humanity. In fact, I am moved by the Milosovic trial, and personally, would not object if Sharon were tried for the Sabra and Shatila massacres.

Jerome,

Have been gone for a few weeks, but it seems the rhetoric is heating up on this thread again.

Everyone seems to know best about how the Israelis should handle their problems. IMHO, I suspect they are the only ones who have any knowledge about how this situation should be handled. My personal opinion is that we should back off, give them as much support as possible, and let them deal with their own problems, which they have shown to be eminently capable of in the past.

I'm interested in how you came to the conclusion that "Sharon's type of warfare is targeting the civilian population in general." Its always been difficult to pick flys--t out of pepper, and I suspect that getting at the Palestinian fanatics is no less difficult. Just curious as to what your solution would be?

OT.........How's the market been treating you?

Regards,

Knip
