I think its time you left your windswept Island and made a brief visit to Los Angeles or Mexico City or Bangkok.

I didn't make an environmental argument. I made a technological, business and political argument.

It was a lot cheaper to buy and use a horse a hundred years ago than to run a car but folk still went for cars because cars were better. They didn't have to shovel the shit and clean it off their shoes or breathe the particles in summer..

It's a lot cheaper to buy and run an old, high pollution car but folk run new, cleaner ones because they're better.

Folk will buy and run hydrogen (in some form) fueled cars because they will be cleaner and better. Their eyes won't itch and burn and they won't cough.

Car makers want to build them because they'll be cheaper to make and design parameters will be broadened. People will want to buy them because service and repairs will be less frequent.
