Hi Eric, I love how they say this was a mild recession. It sure as hell didn't feel mild. Millions of Americans are now sitting on 50% losses in their 401K (I read this in an article recently) and hundreds of thousands lost their jobs. It sure did feel alot like the ones we used to have in the 70's and 80's. Maybe they are just getting better and making the numbers look better to hide the effect on the average Joe's life. :>

Clearly retail sales are fueling the "recovery." Business spending and capital investment remains anemic at best.
