Good post Steve. I agree with you. Anything goes now. They always have a plan. Uncharted water.

That's an intriguing theory, but if it's true, how come we had AJC on last Friday pumping the market, and GS this morning doing the same?

good analysis, Steve. And one of the major dynamics of the general investing public is it's swinging from full gullibility to "trust no one". We are in that swing now, and it is surely not towards total gullibility:)Max

Steve: It is most instructive to review the posts on this message board and its predecessor (Steve's Channeling Thread) during the capitulation selloff in the last week of September. I did, and NO ONE saw that week as an intermediate or LT buying opportunity. It wasn't until one week later that Zeev and Larry Dudash thought it was a buying opportunity for more than a one day bounce. If I am wrong in this regard, a correction or clarification would be welcomed.

I still think (hope) that we will get a significant bounce in May. If I am wrong, it becomes a LT investment with my error being 10-15% premature with regard to the bottom. I maintain: (1) we will not go below 1400 this year, and (2) the Nasdaq will once again cross 2000 in the next 12 months.

If I am wrong on either count, I will be very surprised, and simply wait it out. Much easier than being on the wrong side of a short position.

I think that the last time we had 6 or 7 down days in a row, we had a solid DCB thereafter, the 7 days was, if memory serves into February 28 last year and we a got a very good bounce (about three days) and then about a month of further declines into the major low. (here it should take us into June).

I agree that things are different, in regard to "analysts", but they are the same in regard to "da boyz", they will simply find "surrogate" pumpers, now that everyone is watching the tubes for their financials in lieu of SEC documents or analysts reports, the tube pumping will get into high gear...

You can count on "da boyz" that they will not give up their advantage and step away from this lucrative business. If nothing else, they'll engineer a rally by spending very little on the futures before the open Monday.

Zeev

Didn't Mark Twain once say that those are the most dangerous words in the English language?

IT REALLY IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME
