talk to Kurds in Syria and Turkey if you want to know about occupation. Talk to Philange in Lebanon. Israel is forced to hold the land they won in numerous wars until they can find a partner for peace. Israel has a demonstrated track record of reaching peace with its neighbors (Egypt and Jordan). The PLO has a track record of causing internal strife (Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, West Bank, Gaza). I rest my case.

It's illogical and subversive...the most obvious being that the U.S. hasn't been occupying Afghan land and oppressing their population......

I thought the point of the investigation was to determine if "war crimes" had occurred, not to moralize about occupation...anyway, the Israelis haven't "occupied" Jenin since it was handed over to the PA around 1994.

<Nadine, you and other similar posters on this site really should stop trying to compare the bombings, etc. in Afghanistan with Israel's actions against the Palestinians. It's illogical and subversive...>

Subversive? In what way subversive?

And what's wrong with comparing bombings. I think we should compare US bombing of Afghanistan, USSR bombing of Chechnya and Afghanistan, Israeli bulldozing of a tiny piece of town where some enemy soldiers were based, British bombing of Dresden, German bombing of London, IRA bombing of children, Palestinian bombing of young women by young women, and of course we should include USA bombing of two big cities in the world's first nuclear war, not to mention some napalm in Vietnam. Oh, mustn't forget the French government terrorist bombing of the Rainbow Warrior. Of course the one with the most impressive real-time impact was Osama's bombing, using live munitions, of the New York twin tower World Trade Center and Pentagon.

I say bring in Zonism! It's embarrassing having this stuff going on ... this is for the dark ages.
