The smaller the place, people live in, the more vulnerable the human being is:

Very interesting observation. Thank-you for posting it.

It is not necessarily the size of the space but also how many people are crowded into it. Also take into account the mentality of the persons involved. Years ago I saw a demo of overcrowding using rats in a large cage. They started off by putting in a few rats. All was well. Every few days they added more. When it reached a certain point of overcrowding, fights broke out. They kept adding rats. Eventually the rats began killing each other(natural way of reducing population to a manageable size)which may originate in the need for a certain space to feed the individual animal in the wild. We have all seen how animal contest for territory. Are humans different? Look at some of the high crime cities in the world for an answer of crime vs population. The world itself is over populated. Will this be a cause for all out war? the world population now stands at over 6 Bil, census.gov, and at current rates will be over 9 Bil. by 2050, census.gov.
Havn't looked into the following to any great extent, but considering that the average person weighs approx. 150 lbs, that equates to 2 cubic feet of water per person. That times the population in any country or the world at large and you can understand why you read about low ground water in areas which can not support agriculture. We have a gigantic water reservoir walking around on two feet. Add in the livestock to feed all these people and the figure more then doubles. Can this many bodies further relate to global warming in itself? Six Bil bodies radiating 97.5 Deg C plus the energy to warm and cool them through the seasons? This a bit of simple and far out look at thing but tell me it is not relivent. And we havn't touched on all the 2 and 3 car families that give off a lot of heat. Answer???

We don't have many people but our country is almost as big as Brazil. Germany was more like 300,000 km squared but even so that isn't big by standards of US, Canada,Brazil, and Australia.
