Under the Bush plan, Israeli forces will leave Arafat's compound and let him travel
anywhere once six wanted men are moved to a Palestinian prison where they will be
guarded by U.S. and British jailers, said Amnon Perlman, a government spokesman.

I've got this queasy feeling that this will backfire in the US's face somehow. The US and Britain will be the jailers of Palestinians in Palestinian territory. If one of them kills himself or one is sacrificed by the Hamas or a bomb goes off in the compound.....etc etc....gettin bad vibes here.

President Pervez Musharraf said on Sunday that US personnel were helping provide communications support for Pakistani forces tracking down Al Qaeda and Taliban militants in Pakistan.

He said the US officials were liasing between Pakistani troops in the semi-autonomous tribal belt bordering Afghanistan, and US forces operating across the border, stressing that the operations inside Pakistani territory were solely carried out by Pakistani troops.
