8:55AM: The bias of the market in pre-market trade has recently turned mixed after early gains. The S&P 500 futures are 1.2 points above fair value, the Nasdaq 100 futures are 1 point below fair value while the Nasdaq 100 PMI is down 0.76. One of the top volume leaders this morning is Sun Microsystems (SUNW). In an early announcement the company said that an organizational change was in the offing. This set the stock on a downward path with the news that the COO was retiring triggering follow through weakness (down 8.6%). Other negatives include the Lehman estimate cuts on Oracle (ORCL) and the Applied Materials (AMAT) downgraded by Wells Fargo.
