hehehe...

U one squished hamster! How r u doing?

I, for one, appreciate the words of caution... 'cause it is usually me who gets stepped on <g/ng>

Seriously, when the weekly, followed by confirmation of the monthly charts occurs. I'll (hopefully) be long gone from the sector.

... u know of course, that I still play the Internut & techies on occasion so, of course, hopefully I will listen to people like you & conserve my capital while we all look for the next sector to play in.

Thanks russett for the caution & excellent words of wisdom. I wish I knew you when I was playing 'da techies...

u would've saved me a ton of dough.

Regards,
Peter

Hi russet,
A cogent post, I agree. That's why I'm posting what I'm posting.
get to a point where 10% gains per annum --- but maybe even that is unrealistic I don't know.
Message 17420444

before I become bubble headed
Message 17419653

Also why I converted my very short term paper profits in MFL to real dollars @ 4.40 from 2.80-2.90 (I know too early but I got real cash not paper dreams:o)

who didn't buy at $850 were going to be really sorry when it hit $2000 --- I'm not waiting for a specific POG. I'm waiting for the pizza man to start telling about a hot new juniour .....;o) (Probably around 600-650 in the last bubble ? I may leave sooner though as my fear of giving back profits is greater than my greed.... I think that's the wisdom that comes with age (in my case)

I still have a small sign on my wall above my monitor with 3 large letters on it MCF (Microforum)
road it to a 27K paper profit and back down to a 1K real loss......

You know like Me and Bobby McGee -- Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose and freedom's all that MCF left me, with apologies to Kris and Janis :o)

And lastly I've been stalking yield for quite awhile now for that same reason (PWI.UN, AVN.UN, COS.UN, FAP.TO, NAT...and a few others). I want to be able to relax a bit. This is hard and dangerous work which most people don't realise (present company excluded).

End of my corollary to your rant :o)

I could wax on but now that beer does sound good.

regards
Kastel

russett,
Your note of caution regarding the pm exuberance here is appreciated, there will be a time to turn that caution into action, but I do not believe that time is yet.

SDII and the few bullish PM threads on SI are still a minority on the SI forum, which in its totality is a minority compared to the investing and trading world.
It could take quite awhile for our little butterfly wings to start the breeze that stirs the Typhoon that washes away the gold parade.

Furthermore the down drafts and profit taking evident show that this lil gold rally is more of a wall of worry than an exuberance for most trading this game.

Another thing to remember is that 850 in 1980 isn't 850 anymore:

westegg.com

With that comparison, my chart targets of 350 + 400 for this little gold rush I feel are modest and conservative.
After all, it was just a few years ago that 325 was just a spike that left us with a quick kiss and a promise.
But now that little peck on the cheek is on the left side of the pattern and we are climbing the right side, it's going to be a red hot affair with the golden hair, not just a one night stand, before it's over!

Best Regards,

Roebear
