Jim, LOL. We've got a major disconnect here. I'm going to try to answer the two parts of your post with a straight face.

In a nutshell, yes. This time last year Elmer was talking about how Intel had bought the only company that was ready to build .13 machines. You may well have been too far off in BeeLand to remember that. You certainly did *BUZZ* off sometime around September '00.

If I was running the *BIZ* I'd want to ship the *CHIP* for the most I could get out of it.

AMD's gone from essentially 0% of the notebook and related market one year ago to around 30% today.

A notebook chip brings in around 200% of the $ a desktop does.

How many notebook chips would you like AMD to brand up 500MHz(rating) to sell as desktop chips?
