Searle, here is my compled list of suspects for 9-11 from most likely down:

1. Iran. Has had a regime that has hated the US since its inception in late 1970's. Is sufficiently removed from the fray to not draw much attention.

2. Al Quaida working mainly alone. Seems a lot that they could have accomplished so much, but, then again, if they were lame enough to have members asking flight schools how to fly but not land or take off and nobody noticed, then maybe the whole effort was easier than anyone likes to admit.

3. Iraq for obvious reasons. May have bankrolled the whole enchelada. I have doubts they could get it set up in the US though.

4. Israel? Possible. If they did, they also probably spread that "Israelis were warned not to go to work on 9-11" rumor as cover.

China also tied for 4th. We did bomb their embassy you know. If they did it, they needed help from one of the others.

5. The Saudi over spoiled brat population. Actually, this may describe a large % of Al Quaida.

6. US Gov. I hate to think this is possible, and the only reason why I suspect them is because they lie to us so often. Would explain the anthrax thing too--panic people into the gub's arms.

I must say I enjoy your posts a great deal. I also respect your knowledge and intelligence.

Don't forget, I am Canadian, not American,...and have a different view on government than you do I think,...but I understand why you would question all government.

I too ask myself who would benefit from the Pentagon stuff, considering the twin towers were demolished,...do the Americans need any more prodding to fight the Arab war?

I agree Israel has to answer some questions, but the Pentagon is a military base,...one of the best defended and secure in the western world. The outer ring of the Pentagon is meant to deflect missiles etc., from getting to the interior,...that is its design. Whether it was a bomb or a plane is irrelevant. Firewalls abound, and unlike the twin towers, the U.S. isn't going to allow anyone to see the effects of the blast for security reasons,....imagine if the whole pentagon was destroyed,...could any of us believe in the U.S. might??

I am answering your post of May 4 2002 at 12:14. Realize that my last two posts were under the influence of party and beer, and I hope I didn't say something stupid. Your view from South Africa is an interesting one,...and I don't want to lose it.
