JFD, I think it is undue pessimism. Consumer spending is already at seasonal levels, and I think that corporate spending will resume *slowly* starting later this year, and at the first sign of sustainable good news, the bulls will come back. I think a Nas of 1900-2000 is not unreasonable by the end of the year. I'm hoping that 2003 will push it up to 2500.
