Aye, there's the rub.

Not a matter of re-compiling, but one of creating a new structure and execution flow for the application, then re-writing the application following the new design.

Or, just buy AMD chips instead of Intel chips, and save yourself thousands or millions in software costs. Software costs that gain you nothing except the ability to run your existing programs at full speed on Intel's new chips.

AMD's new chips already run your existing programs at full speed.
