Not all that hard to understand, is it? Actually, it is, Poet. I know you wrote the book on SI politeness ... but sometimes it does seem confusing. Let me make sure I have this point right. (1) If someone has you on ignore, and you post directly to them, you are posting behind their back. (2) If a person does not have you on ignore, and you post about them to a third party, you are not posting behind their back. You have to admit these rules are a bit tricky. I'll bet a lot of others might have thought that back-stabbing would be the other way around. See, you learn something every day.
